Get the most out of your visit to Maspalomas
Maspalomas has a summer climate which allows visitors to enjoy numerous cultural, sporting and leisure activities.
The average temperature of this area of southern Gran Canaria varies between 20 and 27 degrees throughout the year. Although the sea temperature tends to be cooler during the winter months, it is pleasant most of the year.
Maspalomas has four tourist information centres:
- Tourism Office Anexo II: Paseo Marítimo – Centro Comercial Anexo II Local 20, 35100, Playa del Inglés (+34 928 768 409).
- Las Dunas Visitor Information Centre: Avenida de Tirajana 1, 35100, Playa del Inglés (0034 928 765 242).
- Canary Islands Visitor Centre: Avenida de España, corner of Avenida Estados Unidos, 35100, Playa del Inglés (0034 928 219 600).
- Faro de Maspalomas Visitor Information Centre: Plaza del Faro 15, 35100, Maspalomas (639 513 706).
The Maspalomas Lighthouse is also a very valuable site for tourist information. The City Council of Gran Canaria offers visitors an Ethnography Centre that provides information about places, events and cultural centres. Guided tours are available as well as permanent exhibitions where one can learn about the history of this emblematic structure. Opening times are Monday to Sunday from 10:30 to 17:00.
